The Room of Requirement:
contains OotP spoilers

If you've read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, you probably already know what the Room of Requirement is, unless you have a really atrocious memory. The Room of Requirement (also known as the Come and Go Room) is a magical room in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is located on the seventh floor opposite a tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy being clubbed by trolls while he tries to teach them ballet (pg. 338-39). As stated in the quote from Dobby on the left, the Room of Requirement can only be found by someone in need of it. Dumbledore found it filled with chamber pots when he needed a bathroom very badly (GoF, pg. 417-18), and Fred and George found it while on the run from Filch. In order to access the room, one must pass the blank wall three times, concentrating on what is needed.

In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry and a group of students gather in the Room of Requirement to practice Defense Against the Dark Arts when Professor Umbridge renders the class useless and bans all student meetings of three or more students (Educational Decree Number Twenty-four, pg. 351-52). They call themselves Dumbledore's Army - D.A. for short - and they have several meetings in the Room of Requirement before they're betrayed by one of their own and are caught.

The Room of Requirement is, indeed a most amazing room, and that is why this fanlisting exists. Now go join!
